Strengthen Your Teen's Testimony Through Real Adventure
Start Here
Outdoors for Youth is a five-day, Christ-centered summer camp for teens ages 11 to 18, held at our camp near Rexburg, Idaho. Campers sleep eight to a rustic cabin, with no electricity, no running water and very little cell service. Days are spent white water rafting, running the high ropes course, throwing tomahawks and flying down the Epic Mountain Slip 'N Slide. Evenings are firesides, prayer and scripture study, a sunset dance and a testimony meeting. OFY is run by Teton Experience, a non-profit founded by the former AFY leadership after BYU-Idaho discontinued that program in 2017. The short version: it is a real outdoor adventure where the Gospel of Jesus Christ is taught by living it, not by sitting in a classroom.
Nature. No noise. Just connection, leadership, and testimony.
Gospel learning taught through real challenges, not classrooms.
White water rafting, arrow tag, high ropes courses, our Epic Mountain slip n' slide, tomahawk throwing, and more.
Designed for youth who learn best by doing.
OFY pairs powerful gospel principles with a five-day outdoor adventure near Rexburg, helping youth build confidence, resilience, leadership skills, and a stronger testimony of Jesus Christ.
Each week is filled with a balance of fun and spiritual activities.

OFY vs. The Rest

Outdoors for Youth is independent from BYU, BYU-Idaho, and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, with the Gospel at the center of everything we do.
What Families Say
Beautiful place, great hosts, amazing adventures, and the best experience ever. I will be going back again and again.
I have been here many times now and literally can't get enough. Super pretty Aspen groves surround cool features like a two lanes slip n slide. Ropes course. Climbing wall. Arrow tag arena. And they pull gospel principles out of all the activities they facilitate. Super impressed with the staff as well.
Best thing that ever happened to me!! I've been twice and I'm going again this summer. I met the most incredible people, had amazing adventures, grew my testimony, and had so so so much fun. If you can go, GO!!
