OFY COUNSELOR
JOB DESCRIPTION
OFY is looking for young adults to help facilitate growth experiences for teens. We are seeking hard-working individuals who are adaptable, have a contagious positive attitude, and are team players. Applicants should be ready to camp Monday-Friday and be comfortable being outside in all weather (we had snow last summer). Apply if you have the ability to relate and communicate with youth, teach with the spirit and be a positive role model. Applicants should be patient, fun-loving, and confident in their ability to motivate and assist campers in everything from learning to social interactions.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinate your cabin’s daily schedule of activities and manage transitions to ensure the timely arrival of your group.

Work with your co-counselor to plan daily activities that meet the needs of your group of up to 16 youth.

Facilitate group activities (high ropes course, low ropes course, ice breakers, etc.) for your campers.

Teach gospel-centric lessons throughout the week.

Promote the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of all campers.

Mediate any conflicts that may arise between members of your group.

Report any notable concerns or incidents to Senior Camp Managers.

Help maintain camp through manual labor.

Enforce all camp rules and procedures
REQUIREMENTS

CPR & First Aid certification preferred.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
-
Must be able to participate in potentially strenuous physical activity.

Demonstrated skills in conflict mediation.
-
Ability to teach and lead discussions with campers.
-
Must be 19 years old.
COMPENSATION
Starting at $400 a week, DOE
Food will be provided while working and housing will be provided all summer.
Bonus upon completion of the contract
DATES
May 25th - July 31. Must commit to the whole summer with weekends off.

JOB DESCRIPTION
OFY is seeking a dependable and motivated Crew Lead / Assistant Facilities Manager to help oversee outdoor facilities and lead a small crew. This role combines hands-on facilities work with leadership, planning, and day-to-day operations in an outdoor setting.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working outside, leading others, and building real-world management and operational experience. The position can also be structured as an internship.

RESPONSIBILITIES

CPR & First Aid certification preferred.

Drivers license

Oversee general upkeep and maintenance of facilities, grounds, and equipment
-
Identify and help prioritize maintenance needs and improvement projects

Lead and manage a rotating crew of adult counselors
-
Assign tasks, provide direction, and ensure work is completed effectively
-
Plan schedules and manage daily workflow
-
Maintain a safe, clean, and functional environment
-
Communicate progress, needs, and issues with leadership
SCHEDULE
​20–40 hours per week with flexible scheduling
Required availability on Wednesdays and Fridays

REQUIREMENTS

​High school diploma or GED

Strong leadership and people management skills

Organized, reliable, and able to manage time effectively

Comfortable working outdoors in a hands-on environment

Self-starter who takes initiative and follows through

Experience with tools or maintenance work is helpful, but not required
