What is OFY?
After BYU-Idaho discontinued AFY in 2017, the former AFY leadership who went on to found OFY saw a void in Gospel-centric programs for teens. Having directed AFY firsthand, they understood the impact of a program built on experiential education and the power of adventure — principles they felt were rarely used to teach the Gospel. Determined to continue working with youth in the outdoors while building their faith, they created OFY.
Orgin Story

Their Method
OFY pairs experiential education with the power of the outdoors and adventure to teach Gospel principles. Instead of a classroom, learning happens through real challenges — team-building on the high ropes course, navigating white water together, Christ-centered leadership training in the field, and question-based discussions that draw Gospel comparisons from each day's adventures. Daily scripture study, devotionals, group testimony moments, and campfire discussions weave throughout, deepening what teens experience hands-on.
Their Vision
To provide defining moments in the wilderness that spark lasting spiritual, physical, emotional, and mental growth in the lives of teens — equipping them with the faith, resilience, and confidence they need to navigate life's challenges long after they leave camp.
The Adventures
Each week is filled with a balance of fun and spiritual activities, including white water rafting, arrow tag, high ropes courses, a giant slip 'n slide, and tomahawk throwing. These aren't just activities — they're the moments where confidence is built, friendships are forged, and Gospel lessons take root in ways a classroom never could. Teens leave with stories they'll tell for years and a testimony strengthened by the trail behind them.
